DESCRIPTION: The third in a 3-webinar series on the impacts of marine debris on birds in the Gulf of Maine Region, this discussion-based webinar brought together nearly 30 interested partners to begin fleshing out components of an implementation framework (“framework”) for coming up with strategies to reduce impacts of marine debris. The framework will identify objectives, stakeholders and potential partners, and a clear set of first steps that could help partners initiate projects for a subset of priority issues selected with input from stakeholders. It will be included in a final version of a report, Identifying and Addressing the Impacts of Marine Debris on Birds in the Gulf of Maine and Northeastern U.S., to be released on this website in summer 2021, and widely circulated.
